PHISHING is a form of Social Engineering Technique that attempts to steal sensitive information

Phishing attacks are the attempts by a person or a scammer to trick you into giving out your personal information such as account details like usernames and passwords.

 A Phishing attack can target your bank account , facebook account , e-mail account etc often for malicious reasons.

Phishing is similar to Fishing as in both cases one uses bait to catch a victim,

Phishing attacks is a fraudulent practice , in Phishing attacks :-

• Firstly , Scammer sends a link of a fake website via e-mail which looks or feels like almost identical to legitimate one. Phishing is typically carried out by Email Spoofing. That's why it seems that you have received that email from the legitimate site.

• If you open the link , it will take you to a login page , like login page of any bank , facebook or E-mail, but remember it is fake webpage designed by a scammer which looks identical to legitimate one.

• By seeing that webpage , it is hard to identify weather it is fake or not and if anyone fills their login details(username,password) on that page and click on log in , this will send their username and password to scammer and he/she will never know about that.

It's quiet disturbing ... Right ??
